Bdae Wishes

Bdae Wishes

Thx everyone for ur wishes~~!
Was actually quite surprised with a few of them,
coz I didn't even know they would remember.
People I don't talk to often
actually msged or left a note to wish me happy birthday.
Felt really happy about it,
like I really do exist in these ppl's life.

Of course there will be some disappointments too.
People I tot they would remember
in the end, mentioned nothing.
But I can't be too greedy right?
I gain some, I loose some.
Fair and square.
Life have to be fair.

Anyway, my bdae was 4 days ago,
if anyone of you reads this and didn't know.
18th november 1988.
It's a special day to me,
I'm sure all of you have that special day too.
I'm glad is 18th Nov 1988
and not any other numbers.
181188.
So nice right?
I love it so very much~!

I've got my Nintendo DS,
I've got chocolates,
I've got cakesss,
I've even gotten a BLUE ROSE.
Sweet right?
I really love the blue rose alot!
So many SWEET stuff,
yet my bdae pass so fast.haiz.
Anyway,
thx alot to ppl who celebrated with me,
all the cakes were delicious!
(All of them were chocolate cakes you know? haha.)
But somehow,
something was missing.
Maybe someone even.

You think I will pass my 20th bdae alone again?
Haha.so fast looking forward to it le.

Is anyone actually reading my blog?
Like collecting alot of dust le,
or is nobody interested in LINKIN PARK?!

My prized posession I guess.
Feel proud of myself.haha!
Hey, LINKIN PARK's concert
AND appearance at the airport
can be counted as 1 of my
BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT OK?!
One which I got it on my own~!
Can say they helped to make it happen too!
Thanks LINKIN PARK~!

When I just settled in~

half-way through the waiting time
can see the difference right?
A pity I didn't take one right b4 the concert starts.

Really loved the whole lighting system,
especially this one,
when they were singing my blog song~
PUSHING ME AWAY
(slow version)

OK.
Hey comes the airport part.
ENJOY~
Because I did~~!

Above 2 taken by Rin,
that's why got my head there~haha.
I especially love the 1st one with Mike close-up,
AWWW~~~~~!!

Brad & Mike.

Chester & Phoenix.

Chester & Phoenix.

The above were taken from my counter,
where I spotted them from the immigration.
I really love my eyes you know?!
Anyway this is Mike,
he look so serious~~!

BRAD was on the phone throughout
ever since he entered the gate hold room.

I didn't know Chester was a lefty,
till I saw this.
Or is it coz he injured his right hand?
But if so,
he wouldn't be a lefty and
could just ask his managers for help right?
So I suppose he is a lefty~!
Just like me~!

The 'ghost' of Joe.
Haha.kidding lar.
Didn't know how I get this shot also.
Must be too much reflection.

Joe praying? before he move on.
Rob is behind,

The red and the white top guys
are probably their bodyguard cum manager.

That's it~~

LINKIN PARK

LINKIN PARK

Yet again,
I'm posting about Linkin Park.
BUT I've got a reason to it.
I shall cut short and fast-forward to 11am+.

Me: at Central North counter,
standing there waiting to serve pax.
When there was no pax,
I'll start looking around at people walking by.
I looked straight into the bookshop opp my counter.

*Thoughts*
*Hmm..that guy also got red armband.
Why is it so familar?*
*Ah..Chester wore it on stage during their concert!*
Turn back to my counter to see got any pax.
*Eh? WAIT A MINUTE!*
Turns back to the bookshop
and at the guy with the red armband.
*Backview so familar,
is it really Chester?!*
Saw the side view of that guy,
*OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT'S CHESTER!!!!!!
LINKIN PARK!!!!!!!!!*
I kept going OMG in my mind
as I looked around for the other members.
*OK. I see Phoenix the bassist with him,
but where are the rest?!*
Immediately thought of Rin and started calling her,
not giving a damn if the camera was in sight.

Told her I saw Chester,
and she got excited as well.
After telling her my position,
I checked out which flight they were taking,
coz their nxt concert was tml at TAIWAN.
So had to be a flight living T2 for TW.
As the CSO helped me check,
I attended to pax at the same time.
I saw Joe Hahn walking from the immigration
towards my counter and I almost freaked out.
I remained calm as I helped my pax,
not forgetting to look out for him.
After serving finish my pax,
I turned to look for him and
found him walking closer to my counter.
I thought he needed some help,
so I stared at him for...quite some time.
He stared back at me as he was walking,
and we made eye-contact for 2 - 3 seconds.
After that he went behind the counter and
took the escalator up to the SIA lounge.
I almosted wanted to 'Faint' after our eye-contact.
He is also one of my fav member in LP.

After seeing Joe,
next was Rob the drummer as he entered into transit.
He followed Joe up the escalator to the SIA lounge.
*Ok, I see 4 of them,
where is my Mike and Brad?!*
Next I found myself staring at the immigration,
and of course I was rewarded with a fantastic sight.
Just nice Rin came and I told her
where the 6 of them were.
Chester and Phoenix were still inside the bookshop.
Rin like Mike too,
and she went crazy when she saw him.
We kept staring at them,
not failing to take pics now and then.
After that, Mike and Brad went into the bookshop,
and sort of met up with Chester and Phoenix.

Then Chester and Phoenix came out and went to Nike,
Mike and Brad still browsing the magazines and books.
Brad bought some things,
and the 4 met up outside North counter.
Of course me and Rin were following them behind.
Since we knew where they were flying from and at what time,
we just slowly followed behind them.
Lost Chester on the way to the gates,
prob went to the toilet.
Phoenix went into the gatehold room first,
and went all the way in front to sit down.
Next Mike and Brad went in,
and they sat down at the nearest chairs after the security check.
Me and Rin was like standing right in front of them,
but we had this glass door separating us from them.
Throughout the time,
both of us were taking pics at them
as they fill up their immigration form.

They took quite a while to fill up,
so we got this opportunity to snap at them.
Brad was on the phone throughout,
at first he changed to a seat with back facing us
when he was on the phone,
but later he changed to the seat
where his front is facing us!
He kept listening and talking on the phone,
and sometimes you will find him staring at us.
Want to take pic,
but feel so weird esp if he stares back at you,
without acknowledging you.

Mike did turn to our direction a few times,
coz his bag was situated in a way
that if he wanted something from his bag,
he would turn our direction and take.
And sometimes he would look our way
and both of us will just go OMG!
Then Chester finally appears,
and settled down with them in front of us.
He was the closest and facing us as well.
And I didn't know Chester was left-handed~!

Next was to look out for Joe and Rob
which they didn't appear till 20+mins before departure time.
Me and Rin tot they might be taking a later flight,
so was walking back to the counter
when I saw someone familar on the travelator.
I knew it was Joe and alerted Rin.
We hurry walked back to the gate E26
and waited for them there.
Finally they walked from the screening straight to the plane,
and me and Rin decided to wave at Joe,
but he looked at us and did nothing.
Next Rob was behind,
Rin waved to him and he waved back!
At that time I was following Joe,
and found out he stopped right in front of the opening gate.
I tot he saw something and was afraid to pass,
but then I realise he might be praying
before he board the plane.
Rob manage to catch up and
stood patiently behind Joe.
After that, both of them went to board the plane,
which apparently was either First or Business Class.
And that concluded my story~~!

Long story eh?
But very interesting leh...
I was shaking and shivering the whole time.
And I tot I missed them ytd,
didn't know they stayed in S'pore
for another day b4 leaving for tw.
I was glad I did morning shift,
if not my regret from the concert would have ended that way.
Though the pics I've taken were not very clear,
but I got this CLOSE contact with them.
I was actually still holding back,
coz I didn't want to loose control and wanted to hold onto my image.
I didn't want to appear wilful or crazy in front of them.
But if SJ were to come by,
I would throw my image away to hell
and not care about being caught.
At least SJ would wave back and smile.heez.

I will post up pics of them soon,
because my hp is once again
LOW ON BATTERY!
I only took a few shots and it went down
to the point it shut down on my way home.
Lucky it lasted till my shift work ended.
I'm considered pretty lucky?
This is my first time I got so excited over celebs.
My hands were cold throughout the experience,
and I couldn't really think properly also.
It's not like I like LP alot,
but having this close encounter really
will lift me off the ground.
This encounter really helped to push up
the grade I gave for their concert.
If I were to add in this encounter tog with the concert,
the grade will be...:
13/10
WAY WAY above the total score.
13 coz I like the number,
and having so many eye-contacts helped too~!
AH~~~!!!
LIFE COULDN'T GET BETTER~~!

Saw another celeb also,
from tw but not our generation de:
GAO LING FENG.
His hairdo is not difficult to spot.
Even the air stewardess were talking about him,
and none of them saw LP.
The generation gap perhaps?!

I'm sorry for not informing more ppl when I saw LP,
coz my brain was not working,
and the only person I thought of,
was Rin and my daddy~!
So sorry about it!!

LINKIN PARK LIVE 13TH NOV 2007

LINKIN PARK LIVE 13TH NOV 2007

Ok peeps.
I've got too many regrets to list,
so I'll start with the good stuff first.

First of all,
just came back from e concert.
YES. I WENT TO THE LINKIN PARK CONCERT!
It started at 9pm (1 whole hr late)
and ended at 10.30pm+.
It's pretty short right?
Actually, I'm not too happy with the duration.
It could have been longer ok?
I didn't mind the waiting at all,
coz it all boils down to the concert itself.
If it was hell good,
you ask me wait 2hrs for them also no problem!

Secondly,
they really know how to make the crowd scream.
And of course, just like every other concerts,
they have their super mini 'stage'
right at the front end of the main stage,
where they either step on it to sing/scream,
or show some guitarist/bassist skills.
I must admit,
The guitarist Brad was superb,
so was the bassist Pheonix.
They really make the crowd go high
just by playing their instruments.
Rob the drummer also did fabulous on his drums and solos.

Thirdly,
I LOVE MIKE SHINODA.
Everytime he starts to sing/rap,
I just go 'gaga' over him.
He is really charming too.
Chester was as usual great at his vocals
and all the screamings.
Sometimes I wonder,
will his voice ever break or something?
Its like he seems to be able to keep his throat
in perfect condition for the nxt perf.
Super powerful lor.
really KUDOs to him!
I also liked Joe Hahn's scratching and turntables,
but from my view i hardly see him,
coz of the huge hanging speaker from the ceiling.
I was sitting quite high up, on the side.
Wasted.haiz.

Forthly,
whenever the more popular songs like
NUMB or WHAT I'VE DONE or CRAWLING's
starting tune starts to play,
everybody goes wild.
The more amazing part is,
I didn't know there were ALOT of fans
who knew how to sing their EVERY song,
and decided to sing along throughout the whole concert!
I wanted to,
but it was either I didn't know the lyrics,
or I'm having a hard time clearing my throat.
BTW, CRAWLING was the 1ST ever song
that I listened to, and liked them since.
Up till now I STILL like the song~~!

Through this concert,
I learnt a few things too.
And end up with a few regrets.
I realised,
western celebrities always have problem
coming to Singapore for concert because
they do not have enough fans.
It was quite visible when I went for BLUE's concert.
The indoor stadium was like,
pretty much more than half filled only.
Asians love having their concerts here,
because they have the fans.
Afterall, Chinese still stand majority in Singapore.

I knew there were going to be caucasians
coming for the concert,
and it was true afterall.
But I would say there were more Singaporeans than them.
But they were the ones getting us high as well.
But I was quite surprised that the stadium was
close to 100% full.
At 8pm, the scheduled time for the concert to start,
it was only less than 50% full.
But close to 9pm,
it was already 90%.
I guess that's partly why they started late.

Another thing was,
I really loved their singing.
It's so MUCH more powerful than most asian stars.
When asian stars come down for concert,
they always focus more on the costumes
and stage decorations,
putting their focus on singing/dancing abit lesser.
Whereas for western stars,
they only focus on one thing and that is singing.
The stage can be as simple as one rectangular stage,
and they may never change any clothes at all throughout the concert,
but they do really well on their vocals
and their performances.
Not saying Asians are bad at all,
but somehow its different.

Some regrets I'd like to highlight were:
Handphone not fully-charged;
took a video halfway and my hp shut down on me.
(And that was fucking irritating,
after I found out that the video was of good quality,
in the sense that you can actually hear Chester singing CLEARLY)
Something wrong with my hp,
damn pek cek lar!
Record halfway, then got stuck.
And I didn't press anything oh!
Had to on and off it.
Another regret was the camera.
Not suppose to bring into concert,
but apparently everyone is holding onto 1.
Damn frustrating!!

Another was some songs were missing.
Some songs that I love more than others
were not performed.
Damn sad lar...
I wanted to hear how Mike would perform
'In Between' and 'Hands Held High',
but they were not performed lor!
Maybe coz if it was performed,
it would become Mike's one-man-show.
But Chester and Mike also got their own 2-man-show
without the other 4 members lor!
So unfair!!

One last regret was,
sometimes its good to have your dad at a concert,
in a way, he can be your sponsor to many things.
Another way its bad,
when you want to stop and see something,
he would just walk on ahead,
hinting you he is not interested to see.
I wanted to stop-by and see some stuff,
but he wanted to go in first to find our seats.
Same when coming out.
Someone was selling some kind of 'passes' outside,
wanted to see,
but he just walked 'quickly' away.
And you know when a concert ends,
ppl start swamping out of the stadium,
and I didn't wan to get lost,
so had to carry on walking.
Damn sian lar...
saw some signatures on the passes.
I hope they are fake ar!!
If not I will kill myself very soon.
Coz this concert like other than the concert tix,
got nothing to keep to remember it le.
Dunno when is the nxt time they holding a concert here lor,
the more I say, the more I heart pain.

LINKIN PARK CONCERT
was my first ever LIVE ROCK BAND CONCERT,
so I got to try it out.
And I'm glad I chose them for my 1st try!
I really love their songs and style alot!
Overall I love their performances,
be it vocals, drums, guitars, bass or scratching,
they were all very compatible and came out very nicely.
I love the lights too!
Lights are one of the most impt item for a rock concert.
Without the lighting and spotlights etc,
a rock concert wun sound like a rock concert.
Different lights accompanying different tones of the song,
it brings out even more of the songs.
And I didn't know LIVE concerts are THAT high.

OVERALL RATING:
8/10
(Abit too short making the price abit not worth,
and 2 songs not performed!)

And I think I getting my bdae pressy tml~!
Or actually later in the day.!!
